Walking with Grace and Ease
May 28, 6:45 pm - 9:15 pm
A Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM) workshop with Nick Strauss-Klein at The Marsh, in Minnetonka, MN (just off I-494).
One of a pair of walking workshops designed to complement each other. These workshops can also be standalone learning opportunities. The other workshop, Walking with Your Whole Self, is a week earlier on May 21st.
Nick’s popular walking workshops were featured in Experience Life magazine!
Nick Strauss-Klein presents a practical Feldenkrais Method exploration of the biomechanics of gait as each participant learns more awareness of their own walking habits, and is guided toward an organization of their feet, legs, and hips that is more pleasurable, efficient, and sustainable over a lifetime.
This event is suitable for newcomers and longtime Feldies alike. It’s fully accessible as a standalone workshop, and is also designed to complement the lessons of Walking with Your Whole Self, the week before. Whether you’re an accomplished walker, or you’re injured and wanting to return to walking, this event is for you!

- ATM class guide: what is ATM and how to do it
Bring a bath towel to fold for head support during mat lessons, and dress in layers. Though our topic is walking, as in most Feldenkrais study we’ll be making changes by exploring movement in lying on the floor positions. Being out of gravity allows us to sense and change movement habits. Students will be provided with follow up study information by email after the workshop.
Nick Strauss-Klein is a full-time Guild Certified Feldenkrais Teacher and 2006 graduate of the New York Feldenkrais Method Professional Training Program. In addition to his one-to-one Functional Integration practice, Nick has taught thousands of hours of group Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement classes and workshops. Nick’s donor-supported online collection of class recordings, The Feldenkrais Project, brings the life-changing benefits of Feldenkrais study to thousands of people across the globe using a grassroots funding model.

A recent student in Nick’s Feldenkrais classes at The Marsh, Amanda Straka, 38, RYT, CPT, Thai Massage Therapist, says
I found Nick’s course valuable and eye opening. I am a instructor of movement myself, and this was my first experience with the Feldenkrais Method. It was a holistic and enlightening way to engage body/mind/breath connection. Nick is incredibly knowledgeable about his material, clear and concise in his direction, and truly passionate about what he teaches. No matter what your moving and/or healing path is, try his class, it open a whole new awareness for you.
